Ford is eager to sell as many F-150s as possible by year’s end, and it’s ramping up incentives in order to hit its mark.

High demand coupled with production issues and frame shortages has made it difficult for Ford to keep its prized pickup on dealership lots, and most projections have Ford struggling to recover until September. In order to help incentivize shoppers considering the 2015 Ford F-150, Bloomberg reports that Ford will be offering upwards of $10,000 in incentives to help close to 2.4% year-over-year sales gap. Yes, $10,000.

While sales of the F-150 have been down, Ford’s bottom line has taken less of a hit than normal given the high average transaction price. The average selling price of the 2015 Ford F-150 is $44,100, which places it well above its closest competitor’s average price. Ford is said to make as much as $10 billion every year solely from trucks priced at $50,000 or greater.
