Ford Ranger Wildtrak Bows at Frankfurt Motor Show
Amidst growing speculation that Ford is considering reintroducing the Ranger pickup to the American market, the next-gen Ranger made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this month. The new-look Ranger comes with new diesel powertrains that are more efficient, a suite of intelligent technologies, and all the power that customers have been conditioned to expect with the previous-gen models.
Ford displayed a Wildtrak model at the show in the new Pride Orange hue, and it stood as one of the foremost topics of discussion throughout the show.
“With the stunning new Wildtrak at the pinnacle of the line-up, the new Ford Ranger provides customers with an unbeatable combination of four-wheel drive capability, stand-out styling and premium features like SYNC 2 connectivity,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford of Europe. “Ranger is ready for any challenge—offering optimized fuel efficiency, towing and payload capacity, and class-leading wading capability.”
The new Ranger Wildtrak gets rectangular fog lamps, a sports hoop, 18-inch machined alloy wheels, unique graphics, and a luxurious interior that features soft-touch materials and an eight-inch touchscreen. Available technologies for the Wildtrak include Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, Adaptive Load Control, and Emergency Brake Assistance.
