Ford Ranks 35th in Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards

Ford has been named among the 50 Best Places to Work for 2015, earning a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award earlier this month.

Ford pulled down the 35th-best score in the annual ranking, which grades companies with a workforce of 1,000 or more employees based entirely upon employee feedback. Ford was the highest-rated automaker, with employees citing advantages such as competitive pay and benefits and opportunities for internal advancement.

“Our employees are our best ambassadors, and Ford being honored as a Glassdoor Best Places to Work is truly a pride point,” said Felicia Fields, Ford group vice president, Human Resources and Corporate Services. “At Ford, we focus on creating the right environment for people to learn and grow, and this award confirms we are doing the right things to attract, develop and engage employees. Ford truly has exciting products, incredible technologies and a fantastic team.”

The data for the 2015 Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award was pulled between November 13th, 2013 and November 2nd, 2014. Ford also appeared on the list in 2011, when it was named the 42nd best out of 50 companies.

Employee reviews for Ford Motor Company reveal that 79% of participants would recommend working at Ford to their friends and that CEO Mark Fields has a 91% approval rating, meaning he’s considerably more well-liked by his constituents than Congress.
