Ford SEMA Trucks

Ford will be looking to pick up more hardware at this year’s SEMA Show, which gets underway on November 1st in Las Vegas. Last year, Ford took home three awards—Hottest Sport-Compact (Ford Focus), Hottest Car (Ford Mustang), and Hottest Truck (Ford F-Series)—meaning that the Blue Oval will have a lot to live up to this year.

Fortunately for Ford, all early indications are that it will have the tools necessary to repeat last year’s performance. The automaker has previewed a number of trucks ahead of the show, and each seems primed to push the cause of Ford’s superiority.

Let’s take a look at the BMX-themed Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew.

The truck itself is done up nicely on the inside with a custom leather kit from Alea Leather, PUTCO sill plates, and INVISION dual headrest DVD players and monitors. Outside, the paint is provided by Flying Iron Design, LED lighting is provided by Rigid, headlights are provided by Raptor Retrofit, and ceramic paint for the exhaust is provided by Cerakote. Other accessories include a Retrax power roll tonneau. AMP Research power steps, Airdesign USA hood scoop and tailgate applique, and execution by InDesign Motorsports.

To ensure that performance packs a punch, the stock 5.0-liter V8 gets a Whipple supercharger, as well as powertrain mods including a CGS Performance three-inch catback exhaust system, Whipple 132 mm throttle body, and custom painted coil covers from Ford Performance. For ideal off-road performance, the chassis is enhanced by a FabTech six-inch performance suspension system with dirt logic, Fastway hitch receiver, and Husky fender liners.
