Ford delivered total sales of 1,283,400 vehicles in the traditional Euro 20 markets throughout 2015, a 10.7% increase from sales the prior year. Including sales in Russia and Turkey, that number rises to 1,448,900 vehicles (up 9.9%), and including the EDM 28 raises that year-end total to 1,478,000 vehicles (up 9.9%).

By the conclusion of 2015, Ford’s Euro 20 market share stood at 8%, up 0.1 percentage points from the year prior. Market share for the Euro 22 totaled 7.8% (up 0.5 percentage points), and the Euro 50 market share totaled 7.7% (up 0.5 percentage points).

Through the full 12 months of 2015, Ford’s top volume markets were Britain (438,100 vehicles sold), Germany (259,900 vehicles sold), Turkey (126,500 vehicles sold), Italy (120,600 vehicles sold), and France (103,200 vehicles sold). In terms of market share, the top markets were Britain (14.3%), Turkey (12.6%), Ireland (12.3%), Hungary (12.2%), and Finland (9.2%).

In the Euro 20, the Fiesta was once again Ford’s top seller with a total of 311,700 vehicles delivered, likely making it Europe’s best-selling small car and second-best-selling car overall for the fourth year in a row.

SUV sales were up 31% thanks largely to a 19% sales increase from the Kuga at 101,800 vehicles delivered. Performance sales were up 62% thanks to the popularity of models such as the Mustang, Focus ST, Focus ST diesel, and Fiesta ST.

Perhaps most significant is Ford’s status as Europe’s top commercial vehicle brand for the first time in 18 years, a mantle earned through significant sales of the Tourneo and Transit families and the Ranger pickup.
