“Military veterans and their families have sacrificed much to protect our freedom and way of life,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. “We’re proud to continue our work with the American Red Cross and provide opportunities for more veterans to build new careers in the health care field to strengthen their families and their communities.”

The program, created by the American Red Cross, helps applicants learn the skills necessary to succeed in job interviews, offers job fairs that put them in closer contact with prospective employers, and teaches imperative life skills such as financial literacy and career development. Upon completion, graduates are awarded with CNA and First Aid/CRP/AED certifications.

Ford and the American Red Cross have a long-standing partnership. Recently, Ford donated five Transit Connect vans to five ARC locations around the country.
