Ford Tops YouGov Consumer Poll of for Buzz
Marketing research firm YouGov has released its mid-year Top US Buzz Rankings. The survey, which determines whether consumers view particular brands positively or negatively, found that Ford ranks highest among all companies included.
YouGov’s pollsters speak to 5,000 Americans daily, asking respondents to rank any news they may have heard about a brand in the two weeks prior. The poll uses a scale from -100 (very negative) to +100 (very positive). Ford led the way with an impressive +30 score, heading up a group of 1,100 brands in areas from auto and social media to retail and food chains.
YouGov cites Ford’s high-earning first quarter, increased market share, and new “And is Better” campaign as primary causes for the Detroit automaker’s five spot improvement over the end-of-2012 Buzz Rankings. With less than five months to go in 2013 and Ford’s sales continuing momentum in markets like the U.S. and China, it’s within Ford’s reach to stay the course and remain kings of buzz by year’s end.
So, we’ll assume that, like the majority of the surveyed Americans, you’re viewing Ford in a positive light. Let us know what you like about Ford in the comments.
