Ford Transit Randger 560 with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive

Lovers of the great outdoors and the open road, take note: the Ford Transit with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is providing the foundation upon which the new Randger 560 motorhome will be built, providing customers in Europe with AWD for better off-road performance and a powerful and efficient 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine for exceptional output.

“Motorhome sales are growing fast as more and more customers recognize the opportunities for adventure that they offer,” said Hans Schep, general manager, Commercial Vehicles, Ford of Europe. “Equipped with the segment’s only factory-fitted All Wheel Drive system, Ford Transit-based Randger 560 customers can explore on and off the beaten track with total confidence in the capability and durability of their motorhomes.”

Before it becomes the Randger 560, Ford develops the Transit AWD van at the Dunton Technical Center in the UK and builds it at its Kocaeli manufacturing center in Turkey. From there, it is sent to the Trigano Group for conversion—a finished Randger 560 features seating for up to five and amenities including a bathroom with shower.

The Randger 560 motorhome is also offered with technologies including Ford SYNC 3, Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Sales of van-based motorhomes in Europe grew by 18% in 2016; Ford supplies some 7,000 Transit Vans for conversion on an annual basis.

Ford also announced that all Ford-based vehicles offered by Trigano Group and purchased from July 1st, 2017, will be covered by an extended five-year warranty. The warranty includes One Call support service for travelers.
