Ford Motor Company sales were up 0.4% in November thanks to a 0.6% increase in sales of Ford-branded vehicles. November was a down month for nearly every car in the Ford lineup and two of Ford’s biggest SUVs, but those decreases were readily offset by a huge month for the F-Series, Transit, and Transit Connect.

“We saw strong customer demand for our cars and SUVs with the latest technology and sold a very rich mix in November,” said Mark LaNeve, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. “F-Series and commercial vans also were very strong, with an 18% gain for the month and our best November sales performance for Ford Trucks in eight years.”

Ford is also quick to point out that lower incentive spending in November raised the average transaction price in November by $3,800 year-over-year.

The F-Series was Ford’s biggest seller once again with a total of 65,192 units delivered and a 10.4% year-over-year gain. Van sales were up 59% at a combined 17,815 vehicles delivered, good for Ford’s best November sales for the segment since 1984. Sales of the Transit were up 97.6% with 9,584 units delivered, and the Transit Connect was up 93.8% with 4,237 deliveries.

To date, Ford Motor Company sales in the United States are up 5% at 2,373,920 units between Ford and Lincoln.
