Sales in Ford’s 50 European markets (the aforementioned 20 and Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Gibraltar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgysztan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) are up 5% after 11 months with 1,414,800 vehicles delivered. Sales in November totaled 125,300 vehicles.

“November was another strong month for Ford as we continued making progress towards increasing high-revenue sales, such as commercial vehicles, SUVs, performance cars, and higher-spec vehicles,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales, and Service, Ford of Europe. “Our strategy helps build a sustainable business, strengthen the Ford brand, and improve residual values.”

Ford maintained its standing as the continent’s top commercial brand with a 13% sales increase in November, delivering 28,000 vehicles across its 20 major markets. Sales through the first 11 months are up 17% with 300,000 CVs delivered.

Passenger car sales are up 2.7% through November with 948,00 vehicles delivered, Ford’s best first 11 months in terms of passenger car sales since 2011. Of that figure, 274,300 sales were of the Fiesta, meaning that Ford has sold one Fiesta approximately every two minutes this year in Europe.

SUV sales are up 35% through November at 173,000 units delivered, driven by significant increases from the EcoSport and Kuga. Performance car sales are up 67% at 40,800 units, an increase owed largely to the popularity of the Mustang and the new Focus RS.
