James May, Jeremy Clarkson, and Richard Hammond will reunite as hosts of a new Amazon Prime show

When former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May confirmed a new car show for Amazon Prime, the entire world rejoiced. When Amazon announced it is spending over $250 million on production alone, the entire world broke out in one big riot (not really, but it wouldn’t be surprising).

Now, former Top Gear producer Andy Wilman, who will be working on the new show, has let a few details about the new show slip in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Hold on to your hats, kiddies. This is going to be one hell of a show.

While Wilman didn’t release the exact parameters of the new car-focused show, he did let slip that it will be “lots of newness.” This includes a new look, some new elements, and a new home. There will still be scenes filmed in the studio and a variety of international segments, but other than that, things are still very much in the air.

With its new, astounding budget, we can only assume that the Top Gear trio’s new show will be better than ever. Add the fact that Amazon is providing Clarkson, Hammond, and May a high levels of autonomy and quality, and it’s hard not to set the bar too high for these three.

The first season is set to air in the fall of 2016 only on Amazon Prime. Right now, the show is contracted for three seasons, each with 12 one-hour episodes. Each episode will be released in a weekly format, just like on television.

We’re certainly excited to see what this new show has in store. Will you tune in?
