Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) drove away with four first place finishes, more than any of their competitors, at the recent 14th Annual Carspondent.com Active Lifestyle Vehicle Competition (ALV) held in Chandler, Arizona.

According of FCA North America Media, “The ALV competition is unique because it’s the only annual awards program where professional athletes and the automotive media come together to pick the winners. The evaluation process includes navigating an off-road course and on-road driving.”

The Jeep® Compass Trailhawk earned the award for “Best Value Off-Road.” The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid was deemed “Best Value Family.” The Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Southfork model earned “High Luxury Off-Road,” and the Dodge Durango SRT® earned “Luxury Family.”

“FCA US showed up at ALV with a lineup of vehicles geared specifically to the needs of outdoor enthusiasts and as a result, took home more awards than any other manufacturer,” said program co-founder Nina Russin. “The Jeep® Compass Trailhawk lived up to its promise of true off-road capability, traversing a challenging course that tested its directional stability and wheel articulation. The Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Southfork edition proved that a vehicle designed to work and play hard can also deliver luxury. Cyclists were impressed with the interior capability of the new Chrysler Pacifica and appreciated its stylish exterior. And everyone loved the Durango SRT®’s raw power: a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

The 2018 Jeep® Compass is available in four trims—Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk® and Limited. Each trim comes equipped with a 2.4-liter I4 MultiAir® engine mated to a six-speed manual in the Sport and Latitude trims and a nine-speed automatic transmission in the Trailhawk® and Limited trims. All trims are capable of generating 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is available in three trims—Hybrid Touring Plus, Hybrid Touring L, and Hybrid Limited—that are all equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 hybrid engine mated to an eFlite Si-EVT transmission.

“Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Southfork is the reigning Luxury Pickup of Texas. The newest member of Ram’s opulent offerings builds upon the well-appointed Longhorn trim with even more luxury, technology and refinement,” states FCA North America Media.

The 2018 Dodge Durango is available in seven trims– SXT, SXT Plus, GT, Citadel, R/T, Citadel Anodized Platinum, and SRT®. The SRT® model is equipped with a 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which generates 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
