The 2017 Honda Odyssey carries a starting MSRP of $29,850 and earns up to 27 mpg on the highway

Honda landed not one, not two, not three, but four spots on the US News & World Report list of the “2017 Best Cars for Families.”

The 2017 Honda CR-V, HR-V, Pilot, and Odyssey were each recognized as best in their class. Their victories were determined by a combination of professional automotive reviews, safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo room, and the availability of family-friendly features.

In selecting the CR-V as the “Best Compact SUV” for families, US News wrote that the vehicle “is fun to drive and has one of the best interiors in the compact SUV class. It costs a bit more than some competitors, but you’ll get class-leading cargo space. Its available turbocharged engine provides excellent fuel economy.”

The 2017 Honda HR-V was named “Best Subcompact SUV” by the magazine. It “ranks near the top of our subcompact SUV list thanks to its spacious cabin, quality interior, smooth ride, and excellent cargo space,” wrote editors.

The Honda Pilot, which was named “Best 3-Row SUV,” was recognized by editors as a “smart choice,” thanks to its standard V6 engine, roomy cabin, and available active safety features.

Finally, the 2017 Honda Odyssey took top honors in the “Best Minivan” segment—a major accomplishment in the world of family-friendly vehicles.

“The Honda Odyssey has long been a leader in the minivan market,” wrote the editors of US News. “The 2017 model does nothing to hurt its reputation – it hits almost all the things you want in a good minivan: a V6 engine with decent horsepower, a solidly built interior filled with soft-touch materials, and good safety scores.
