Both full-size Chevy SUVs, the 2015 Suburban and the 2015 Tahoe, are seeing tremendous turn rates, which is the amount of time, on average, that a particular vehicle spends on dealership lots before being sold. Right now, the Suburban, which created the SUV segment way back in 1935, boasts an average turn rate of 10 days. The Tahoe is not much longer at just 17 days.

“Chevrolet’s all-new Suburban and Tahoe offer improved quality, advanced technology and increased fuel efficiency, yet they retain their impressive towing capabilities,” commented Karl Brauer, senior analyst for Kelley Blue Book. “Robust sales confirm the ongoing market demand for traditional full-size SUVs with a compelling combination of performance and refinement.”

According to General Motors, retails sales of both the Tahoe and the Suburban have more than doubled from last year. Tahoe sales shot up 108.4 percent over April 2013 while Suburban sales climbed 109.8 percent. In fact, the Tahoe and Suburban, in proper tag-team fashion, hold just about 50 percent of the entire full-size SUV market.

Yup, you read that right. Two full-size Chevy SUVs claim half of the entire market.

“The Tahoe and Suburban are the leading vehicles in the segment, and some of the best Chevrolet has ever built,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet. “The demand for these refined, functional, and technology-driven models is proof that consumers agree, as well.”
