What is the first car brand you think of when you think about quality? If you said General Motors, you are correct.

In J.D. Powers & Associates’ recently released Initial Quality Study, GM saw some amazing results. The focus of the study is to see how many problems owners encounter in the first 90 days after buying a new car. The industry average was 113 problems per 100 vehicles. General Motors’ GMC brand only saw 90 problems per 100, coming in second behind Porsche, with 80 problems per 100 cars.

All other GM brands also had better-than-average results with Chevrolet, Cadillac, and Buick posting 97, 108, and 109 problems per 100, respectively.
