Genesis G90 Will Be Equipped with HARMAN Technology
HARMAN providing connected car and audio solutions for luxury G90
The flagship model of the new Genesis luxury brand from Hyundai has been revealed: the G90. Already selling well overseas in its pre-orders, the premium Genesis G90 sedan will set the pace for the rest of the coming lineup over the next five years.
To make a good impression with premium customers, Genesis needs to appeal to finer sensibilities. HARMAN, a leader in connected car technologies, is meeting that need. Genesis and HARMAN have struck a deal to equip the G90 with advanced connected car and audio solutions.
The Genesis G90 will feature some of the latest technology from HARMAN including:
- An embedded infotainment system with 2D/3D nagivation, hi-def mapping, voice commands, Bluetooth® voice connectivity, and a 200 GB hard drive. Navigation will be accessible on a widescreen 12.3-inch HD screen with touch controls–over 33% larger than the screen on previous Genesis models.
- Lexicon sound package with either 14 speakers and 600-watt base or upgraded 17-speaker system with 900 watt system. It also includes Quantum Logic surround and Clari-fi software to uncompress audio files.
- An integrated 4G/LTE modem.
- Partially-autonomous driving features, like highway driving assistance, lane guidance, and smart cruise control.

HARMAN has begun production on these components this week, preparing for the G90’s official release next year, which will be replacing the Equus.
