Recommended Modes of Transportation
Getting around Oklahoma City is easiest by car. If you’re driving in, you’ll have no trouble – and if you’re flying, we recommend grabbing a rental car. The streets downtown are laid out in a grid and are easy to understand. Be aware that when driving the city on the north side, the numbered streets increase from south to north, but on the south side, they increase from north to south.
Public transportation is limited, but there is a decent bus system around downtown if you won’t be leaving the area.

The airport has completed the first phase of a major expansion and modernization project and as such, is attracting additional non-stop flights to the city.
