young woman in carGirls Auto Clinic is getting a lot of attention these days. What was once a series of workshops in Pennsylvania to teach ladies about their cars has now expanded into a car garage geared for and staffed by women. If you think this is awesome but you live far away from Pennsylvania, we have good news for you. This fall, women nationwide will be able to take part in the Girls Auto Clinic revolution by visiting their local bookstore.

That’s right, on September 19th of this year the Girls Auto Clinic Glove Box Guide will be available to purchase. No matter where you live or your gender, the wisdom of founder Patrice Banks can be at your fingertips. When the Girls Auto Clinic first started, the workshop participants created their own glove box guides and learned how to perform simple checks and repairs on their vehicles. Now anyone will have access to this guide and be able to keep their car on the road and get under the hood themselves. According to the book description, the tome will also teach women to become more comfortable with how their car works so predatory repair shops don’t swindle them.

We hope that this new book will inspire women to learn more about the cars they use everyday. Contrary to popular belief, the history of the automobile is full of tough ladies that have used the vehicle to express themselves and prove how capable women are. Now women around the country can keep this handy guide close by to give them confidence behind the wheel.
