General Motors and its joint ventures reported combined sales of 273,563 vehicles last month, an 11.2% year-over-year increase from June 2015 and good for the company’s best-ever mark for the month of June.

Buick, Cadillac, and Baojun each reported record sales for June. Buick sales totaled 86,054 units, up 10% year-over-year, on the strength of increasing demand for both the Excelle GT and Envision. Sales of the Envision were up 27% at more than 14,000 delivered, while sales of the Excelle GT surpassed 26,000 units for the month.

Cadillac sales rose 34% to 9,552 units on the strength of the ATS-L, XTS, and brand-new XT5, all of which accounted for more than 2,000 units. Baojun sales totaled 43,249 vehicles, more than double the number of vehicles delivered in June 2015 thanks to sales of more than 20,000 units from both the Baojun 730 and Baojun 560.

“Sales of the Cadillac luxury brand and Buick have remained strong throughout 2016,” said GM Executive Vice President and GM China President Matt Tsien. “We have also seen very high demand for our Baojun entry-level passenger car brand and a return to growth for the Wuling brand.”

Wuling sales were up 8.1% at 99,017 units delivered. Sales of the Rong Guang V were up 20%, and sales of the Hong Guang exceeded 30,000 units.

Chevrolet sales were down 25% at a total of 35,648 vehicles.

GM’s total first-half sales set a new record for deliveries in China, totaling 1,810,476 units and increasing 5.3% year-over-year.
