If you thought the Buick Velite Concept was the only new car GM brought to the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show, then think again because Chevrolet also took a handful of new models to China.

Chevrolet previously announced a plan to bring 20 vehicles to China by 2020, which would be either completely new or significantly revised. At a press event held before the Guangzhou Auto Show, Chevy unveiled the first wave of these new models.

Two new SUVs are making their debuts in China, which come in the form of the next-generation Equinox and all-new Trax. The Equinox previews Chevy’s unique global design language and it also offers a suite of advanced safety features, as well as class-leading powertrain technology. In contrast, the Trax is an urban SUV featuring best-in-class technology and highly-regarded performance.

Chevy’s best-selling muscle car, the sixth-generation Camaro, is also on display at the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show. The Chinese market gets the sporty RS trim. This model is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that allows the new Camaro RS to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than six seconds.

Joining the Camaro are the new Cruze RS and Cruze hatchback RS. Both cars utilize GM’s advanced midsize platform and showcase Chevrolet’s innovative design language. These particular models come with dual exhaust outlets and lowered sports suspensions.

Also making their way to the Chinese market are the Silverado 1500 and Colorado pickup trucks. These two classic American automobiles are headed to China via parallel import, which means they are actually gray market material. The Silverado will be offered with a 6.2-liter V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the Colorado features a 3.6-liter EcoTec V6 motor.

These two popular trucks are scheduled to go on sale in 2017, but GM China has yet to release pricing details.
