The News Wheel reported a couple of weeks ago that the all-new Chevy Cruze Hatchback will become available in China this February, but at that time we didn’t know how much GM would be asking for its newest hatch. Well, GM has finally supplied us with the answer: the Cruze hatch will cost between RMB 109,900 and RMB 169,900 in the Land of the Rising Sun.

If you’re not that familiar with the exchange rate of the Chinese Yuan, this means the Cruze hatchback will sell for between $15,971 and $24,691 in US currency, depending on which trim level is selected. In addition, the Cruze hatch will be offered with the same engine options as the sedan version of the Cruze. Those engines are a 1.4T top-mounted SIDI motor and a 1.5L top-mounted SIDI engine.

The new Cruze hatchback being offered in China will also come equipped with the new-generation MyLink infotainment system, as well as OnStar’s Smart Driver technology and 4G LTE Wi-Fi. In fact, the official press release issued by GM China referred to these technologies as the “nerve center” of this automobile.

As for safety features, the Cruze hatch will be available with an electronic hand brake, side blind zone alert, a tire pressure monitoring system, and automatic park assist.

GM previously announced that it planned to introduce a total of 20 new or refreshed vehicles to the Chinese market by 2020.

GM and its joint ventures sold a total of 3,870,587 vehicles last year in China. The Buick brand led the way with 1,180,372 units moved, while Chevrolet sold a total of 525,273 vehicles in China. Cadillac was able to sell another 116,406 vehicles.
