Back in September, GM China took its Green in Motion Series to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to show off some of the greener aspects of the Buick Envision and Excelle GT during a three-day event. In total, ten people drove the Excelle GT and Envision from Yinchuan to Zhongwei, stopping to visit the Tengger Desert Photovoltaic Power Station and Qingtongxia Dam along the way.

“Our sustainability strategy is founded on creating value for our customers through new technologies that lower the impact of our vehicles on the environment,” said SAIC-GM Regional Brand Manager Hua Libin, who was one of the participants. “The Green in Motion series reflects GM’s commitment to further reduce fuel consumption and emissions.”

Both the Excelle GT and Envision boast fuel-efficient powertrains, making each an attractive choice for Chinese drivers. General Motors is committed to reducing emissions and waste globally, aiming to cut energy intensity by 20% from 2010 to 2020. The Green in Motion series will continue to highlight fuel-efficient models throughout the coming months.
