GM China’s Green in Motion Series Visits Ningbo
GM China continued its Green in Motion series this week by spending three days in Ningbo, where it showed off the fuel-efficient capabilities of the Baojun 560 SUV by allowing 10 participants to make the 120 kilometer trek from Jiulong Lake to Zhoushan.
“This program gave us the opportunity to show how the Baojun 560 meets the diverse needs for moving people as well as goods,” said a participant from SAIC-GM-Wuling. “Its aluminum engine, Aisin five-speed manual transmission, and Continental low-rolling resistance tires contribute to its impressive fuel efficiency.”
Each Baojun 560 was filled with volunteers who held gifts for children at the Zhoushan Special Kids Care Center. The gifts were given to children at the center suffering from infantile autism, and they were then presented with courses from GM China and Safe Kids Worldwide’s Safe Kids Safe Ride program, where they learned important precautions to consider in and around vehicles.
In the course of the drive, the Baojun 560s achieved peak fuel economy of 5.1 liters/100 km.
