GM Files Trademark Applications for CT5 and CT6
All right, Cadillac sport-model fans, get ready for something big…we think. Okay, we’re really not sure yet, but he have a good feeling that the recently filed CT5 and CT6 trademark applications could spell the future of ATS and CTS sport-crossover variants.
You see, late last month, General Motors filed four trademark applications with the U.S. Patent Trademark Office. The trademarks, as stated, include CT5 and CT6, as well as Cadillac CT5 and Cadillac CT6. As expected, the trademark applications are filed under the office’s goods and services category for motor land vehicles. All four were filed on July 21.
The rumor mill has been suggesting, of late, that Cadillac will be coming out with sport-crossover variants of both the ATS and CTS, leading us to posit that the CT5 and CT6 will fill those roles.
Hopefully, Cadillac will give us more information on the filings in the coming weeks.
