2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS debuts at Busan International Auto Show

General Motors Korea reports total sales of 45,239 vehicles for September, a figure consisting of 14,204 domestic vehicle sales and 31,035 export vehicle sales. Not including sales of 124 Cadillac products, sales were down 12.4% year-over-year.

“GM Korea has achieved a consistently positive performance through our new products, aggressive marketing campaigns and great customer service,” said Dale Sullivan, GM Korea vice president of Vehicle Sales, Service, and Marketing. “As we enter the final quarter of 2016, we will keep up our effort to satisfy more car buyers across the country.”

The majority of GM Korea’s highlights were brought about by sales of its Chevrolet vehicles. Sales of the Spark totaled 5,656 units, continuing the trend of averaging more than 5,000 sales on a monthly basis. The Spark in particular is a hit with customers due to its compact size, low price point, and the degree to which it is well equipped with popular features.

Sales of the Malibu more than doubled at 3,970 units, a year-over-year increase of 100.9%. The next-generation Malibu has been exceptionally popular since its rollout, and in the United States, it is selling at a rate it has not seen since 1980.

After debuting at the Busan International Motor Show, the Chevy Camaro SS continues to catch on with performance-minded customers, moving 134 units in September.

Cadillac sales were up 36.3% for the month with a total of 124 units delivered.

According to Yonhap News, GM Korea’s sales are down 4.4% at 434,573 units, with domestic sales up 12.3% and export sales down 10%.
