The Chevy Cruze is quite the globe-trotter: not only has Chevrolet sold 3.4 million Cruzes in 100 different markets worldwide, but GM has announced that the 2016 model will be manufactured in China, Mexico, and Ohio.

The US-market Cruze will be produced in Lordstown, Ohio, near Youngstown. All that is known about the vehicle so far is that it will feature a new family of EcoTec engines and be based on the new GM D2xx platform.

GM Mexico is investing $350 million in the Ramos Arizpe manufacturing plant, though it’s unknown if that 2016 Cruze will look like the US-version or the Chinese one. Almost 90% of the vehicles manufactures at GM Ramos Arizpe are exported to countries including China and Canada.
