GMC continued its incredible roll in April, moving 47,194 units in the United States for a 20% year-over-year gain. Retail sales were up 8.1% at 37,657 units coming off of the brand’s best first-quarter sales in a decade.

Only one model in GMC’s lineup was down for the month—the Yukon, which was a mere 575 units off of its pace from the year prior. The Yukon XL was up only slightly from the previous year’s sales—2,525 units in 2015 versus 5,506 units in 2014—but every other GMC model was up significantly.

As has been the case for much of the year, GMC’s success has been driven by its pickups. Overall, GMC pickup sales were up 19% thanks to a 4.8% gain from the Sierra and another solid month from the Canyon. Additionally, both the Canyon and Sierra were said to have held the highest average transaction prices in their segments. Combined, GMC sold more than 25,000 pickups to customers in the United States in April.

Among GMC’s other big gainers were the Acadia and Terrain, both of which had best-ever April sales. Acadia was up 39.5% with sales topping out at 8,767 units, and Terrain was up 12.8% with 8,792 units. Combined, GMC crossover sales were up 25%.

Finally, the Savana nearly doubled its April 2014 number with 3,438 sales.
