GMC Sierra and Canyon Make KBB Top 10 for Residual Value
It was announced today that both the GMC Canyon and Sierra were named among the Top 10 in Kelley Blue Book’s annual Best Resale Value Awards. The appearance of the Canyon and the Sierra on the 2016 list marks the second consecutive year that both models have made KBB’s top ten for resale.
“A vehicle’s resale value is of critical importance, because a vehicle with high resale value will typically be less expensive to own over time than a similar vehicle with poorer resale value,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for KBB.com.
Both the 2016 GMC Canyon and the 2016 Sierra found themselves in fine company on the 2016 Official Residual Value Guide thanks to the assumption that each model will retain a greater percentage of its original MSRP than other models sold today over the course of five years of average ownership.
Both the 2016 Canyon and Sierra add new wrinkles for the latest model year, with the former being offered with a Duramax diesel powertrain and the latter featuring new exterior aesthetic flair.
