As reported in our General Motors November sales report, GMC saw its best November since 2001, with a retail sales increase of 31.1% and a total of 43,854 units moved. This marks the 10th month in a row of year-over-year sales gains for the brand. GMC Sierra sales are largely to thank for this tremendous achievement.

In total, GMC sold 22,458 full-size Sierra pickups in November, marking a 57% increase over November of last year. In fact, sales were so strong that they marked the best November in the history of the Sierra truck line.

“As evidenced by our November sales results, customers continue to turn to the Sierra for a pickup truck that’s both strong and stylish,” remarked Duncan Aldred, the US vice president of GMC sales and marketing. “Between the Sierra and Sierra HD, along with distinctive model lines like the All-Terrain and Sierra Denali, we offer a truck that not only fits the task at hand, but also reflects the unique style, personality and preferences of the customer.”

The all-new midsize GMC Canyon is also exceeding expectations. Since the Canyons began arriving at dealers in September, they haven’t stuck around long. In fact, Canyons are selling in an average of just 12 days.

Retail sales of the Terrain also shot up in November, increasing by 10%. But it was the Yukon that was the real force to be reckoned with, with sales up 73.5% year-over-year.
