The 2019 GMC Terrain will include a Black Edition package option

The GMC Terrain just posted its best sales month ever, with 15,579 units moved in March. Now, a year after undergoing a thorough makeover both inside and out for its second generation, the popular compact crossover is incorporating a handful of changes for the 2019 model year.

Safety technology tops GMC’s list of 2019 changes and upgrades for the Terrain. Front pedestrian braking and full-speed adaptive cruise control will now be available features. The Terrain’s Surround Vision and Rear Vision Camera are getting an upgrade to HD.

On the exterior, Mineral Metallic will no longer be offered as a paint option. It will be replaced by Smokey Quartz Metallic.

Most of the other changes for the 2019 GMC Terrain have to do with vehicle packages. Here are a few of the new ones being offered:

  • The Black Edition package, now optional for the SLE and SLT trims, includes 19-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, a darkened grille insert and black surround, black exterior accents, black badging and black GMC center caps. It also comes with a choice of five exterior colors: Ebony Twilight Metallic, Summit White, Graphite Gray Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic, and Sedona Metallic.
  • The Dark Accent package for the SLT features black painted mirror caps, a three-bar grille with black surround and a charcoal insert, a black rear license plate appliqué, and front and rear black fascia inserts.
  • The Chrome package for SLT non-diesel models comes with 19-inch machined aluminum wheels with gray accents, a chrome grille with chrome surround, body-color door handles with chrome surround, and chrome mirror caps.
