Ram 1500 Night

The Ram 1500 Night is definitely a step up to the regular model

How do you take a seriously intimidating truck and make it even more intimidating? All you have to do is add some blacked out details, of course—which is exactly what the Ram truck brand has done with the 2017 Ram 1500 special-edition Night Package.

The Night package takes the Sport model and adds a number of tweaks that make it one of the best-looking trucks out on the road. These changes include a number of blacked-out features, including wheels, grille, and badging. Because of its darkened color scheme, the Ram 1500 Night turns into an incredibly bold-looking truck.

Features on the 2017 Ram 1500 Night include:

  • A black grille surround with black “Hex Perf” pattern inserts
  • A blacked-out “Ram” stamped tailgate from the Ram 1500 Rebel model
  • A black Ram grille badge
  • A flat black Ram 1500 door badge
  • 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels

“Much like our incredibly successful Ram Rebel, the Ram 1500 Night fills the growing customer demand for factory-custom trucks,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand for FCA Global. “Truck enthusiasts want vehicles that define their personality and style. The new Ram Night package builds upon the Ram Sport—one of the best-looking trucks on the road—and adds black-out details that custom truck enthusiasts revere.”

So sporty!

This isn’t the first time Ram has adopted a blacked-out look, though. It was first done back in 2013 with the Black Express package. Now, though, this dark, brooding look is even better than before. Production for this special-edition package will begin in the early fourth quarter of 2016 at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan. Pricing will be announced later this year.
