Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association’s Best Family Car Title Awarded to 2019 Ram 1500
Top Honors — “Best Family Car” — from the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association’s annual Family Car Challenge went to the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 while the Ram 1500 took home its third recognition as the “Best Family Pickup Truck.”
“The GAAMA Family Car Challenge is unique in that we host the only vehicle competition specific to the needs and desires of today’s families,” said Daryl Killian, GAAMA president and host of The AutoNsider on News & Talk 1380 WAOK, an Entercom Radio Station based in Atlanta. “It’s only fitting that the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 won our top overall award given how the 2019 Ram 1500 is loaded with well-thought-out features that are important to families: segment-leading fuel efficiency, impressive ride quality, clever storage solutions and a comprehensive infotainment system.”
The 2019 Ram 1500 is available at five trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn®, and Limited. Two cab configurations: Quad Cab and Crew Cab, two box lengths: 6-foot-4 inches and 5-foot-7-inches, and two drivetrains: 4×2 and 4×4 are available.
“Ram’s newest 1500 addresses the growing demand of families for a double-duty vehicle with the largest cabin in the segment, incredible comfort, convenience features and overall drivability,” reports FCA.
“Our members were impressed with Ram 1500’s combination of technology, functionality, drivability and family-friendly features,” said Killian.
The 2018 Ram 1500 is available at six trim levels — Tradesman, Express, Lone Star, Big Horn, Sport, and Night — and in 4×2 or 4×4 at three cab configurations — Crew Cab, Quad Cab®, and Regular Cab. The 2018 Ram 1500 gives you three powerful engine choices: the standard 3.6-liter V6 24-valve VVT and the available 5.7-liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6. Each engine is paired to a TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission.
