Happy Honda Days Campaign Goes Big with Michael Bolton
It’s all about the flash and sparkle during the holidays, whether it’s with holiday lights cued to music or some sparkly garland for the tree. Honda gets this and, to promote the Happy Honda Days campaign, has decided to partner with one person who is guaranteed to bring the pizzazz—multiple Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Michael Bolton.
Launched earlier this week, the Happy Honda Days campaign focuses on using all forms of media to remind customers why they should shop at Honda this holiday season. Along with commercial spots featuring Bolton performing some of his better known holiday hits, a one-day live social media event will occur on Friday, November 22, allowing the songbird to personally respond to posts over Facebook, Instagram or Vine using the hashtag #XOXOBolton in the form of a life-sized holiday card.
“Michael Bolton’s universal appeal and charisma will catapult our holiday campaign beyond the usual automotive sales-event advertising,” said Susie Rossick, Senior Manager at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “Our #XOXOBolton effort allows us to share the joy of the holidays with Honda shoppers, owners and fans and remind them this is the best time to buy.”
When a man loves a Honda, you can’t go wrong with Bolton, and the Happy Honda Days campaign knows this well. Stop by your local Honda dealerships today and see what’s got Michael Bolton belting out a tune!
So tell us: what is your favorite song of his? Do you kind of like them all? Do you celebrate the guy’s entire catalogue? Are you getting this thinly-veiled Office Space reference? Leave us a comment below!
