Harrison Ford Helps Save Motorist Trapped After Car Accident
The famous Hollywood actor, best known for his roles as Han Solo and Indiana Jones, performed a heroic act of his own after witnessing a nearby car accident
To entire generations of kids, Han Solo and Indiana Jones were two of the coolest heroes around. As it turns out, Harrison Ford, the actor who played both of these characters, is something of a hero himself.
This past weekend, Ford helped rescue a motorist trapped in her vehicle following a major rollover accident.

The incident occurred near Santa Paula, California on Sunday around noon. A sedan driving eastbound on Highway 126 rolled over after hitting a tree, leaving the driver stranded inside her own vehicle.
Ford, who was near the incident with a friend when it occurred, rushed over to help get the driver out of her vehicle. With help from some fellow good Samaritans in the immediate area, the motorist escaped her overturned vehicle with only minor injuries.
“He [Ford] acted as a good Samaritan, just like everybody else, and tried to help before emergency services arrived,” explained Senior Officer Matt Alonzo of the Santa Paula Police Department.

At the time, Ford was just leaving from the nearby Santa Paula Airport. In addition to being a world-famous actor and bonafide hero, Ford is also an expert pilot.
While quite different from recovering the Ark of the Covenant or defeating the Empire, Ford’s brave display demonstrates that his heroics aren’t just relegated to his various appearances on the silver screen.
