For three years running, the Nissan Versa Note has earned a spot on Kelley Blue Book’s (KBB) “10 Best Back-to-School Cars” list.

According to Nissan, the editors of KBB.com appreciated that the “The Versa Note subcompact hatchback combines surprising roominess and versatility with appealing options and the lowest starting price of any vehicle on this list.”

KBB’s requirements for its “Best Back-to-School Cars” list for 2017 included vehicles that had to be “available for a Kelley Blue Book® Fair Purchase Price of less than $20,000 and meet the editors’ criteria of being safe and stylish.”

“Versa Note, as the KBB.com editors write, is a car that parents and students can agree on,” said Scott Shirley, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations, Nissan North America, Inc. “Versa Note continues to offer a great combination of available safety and security features, combined with the sporty style and roomy, versatile interior that is perfect for the demands of life on campus and off.”

The 2017 Versa Note features a new front-end design, an eye-catching and vivacious color option of Deep Blue Pearl, and a sophisticated interior that includes buyer-requested features of a USB auxiliary port and a relocated 12-volt outlet. The 2017 Nissan Versa Note is available in four trims—S Plus, SV, SR, and SL—all of which are front-wheel-drive (FWD) and deliver a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine that generates 109 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque. The high-powered engine is mated to a slick Xtronic transmission with D-Step Shift logic.

The Nissan Versa Note has also earned the title of “Best Hatchback” for 2017 from the first annual Autobytel Inc. Buyer’s Choice Awards.
