Mad Max Fury Road Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

We didn’t think that anything could top that brilliant mash up of the hit carsploitation flick Mad Max: Fury Road and the classic racing game Mario Kart. And while that video is probably still our favorite, there are some other fan-made trailers that deserve some attention, as well.

For example, it turns out that Fury Road and the Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are also two great tastes that taste great together.

Check it out:

A lighthearted comedy series and an intense post-apocalyptic actioner may seem like a strange pairing, but the mash up works surprisingly well here. After all, both Furiosa and Kimmy are proof that “females are strong and unbreakable,” while both Immortan Joe and the Reverand Richard Wayne Gary Wayne are proof that creepy old white dudes are indeed creepy (to understate the matter).

We should also call your attention to this trailer, which reimagines the film as a late seventies/ early eighties grindhouse flick:

The video’s editing is actually pretty frenetic for a supposed 1980’s movie trailer (or at least a pre-Highlander one), but the music (“Power Glove” by Vengeance) and the narration (taken from the original 1979 Mad Max trailer) and the color grading are all pretty on point.

And if you still haven’t gotten your fill of Mad Max parody videos, please laugh/cry at this one featuring original franchise star Mel Gibson…
