Here’s Your 2016 Chevy Camaro Debut Information
Want to see the all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro when it has its official unveiling tomorrow at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park?
Sure, you already saw the car when CNBC leaked photos this morning—but where was the pageantry? The pomp and circumstance? The caravan of over 350 Camaros?
All that and more will be present at the car’s official unveiling tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 pm (EDT). According to General Motors, over 1,000 attendees are expected for the event—among them, hundreds of Camaro enthusiasts from 35 states and Canada.
These bowtie brand fanboys will be bringing along their own cars, and the festivities will begin at 8:30 am with a caravan of over 350 Camaros around the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix course. While they wait for the new model’s 4 o’clock unveiling, the attendees can tour a museum of historic Camaro models, ride shotgun in a Camaro Z/28 for a lap around the race course, and test drive other Chevy models.

All available spots for the event were claimed within hours of the public invitation, leaving 2,400 enthusiasts on the waiting list. (So if you don’t already have your ticket, you’ll probably need to wait for the car’s cross-country tour).
“The response really speaks to the passion owners have for Camaro,” said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. “I wish we could accommodate more people on Belle Isle, but we are limited by space for the reveal itself. For those fans on the wait list, Chevrolet will send them an exclusive sneak-preview of the new Camaro just before the rest of the world sees it at the reveal.”

Unless, of course, we have something better to do. It is a Saturday, after all.
