Ford makes big business out of selling its Police Interceptor vehicle lineup to law enforcement agencies around the country, including the Interceptor Sedan based on the Taurus and the Interceptor Utility based on the Explorer. Given that the 2016 Ford Explorer will be a totally new take on the familiar favorite, it stands to reason that the all-new Ford Police Interceptor Utility will bear many similarities to its non-LEO brethren.

Though it isn’t scheduled to be revealed until February 12th at the Chicago Auto Show, Ford is even being extra kind to the citizenry by giving us an extra eight days to memorize the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility’s silhouette and fog lamps.
