Hey, middle- and high-school students ages 13 to 18—have you ever wanted to meet Honda ASIMO, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, and the inspiration for Cartman’s “AWESOM-O” robot? (Teenagers still watch South Park, right?) Well, here’s your chance.

Honda is holding a contest for teenaged students, asking them to share their answer to the question, “How will robotics affect our world by the year 2066?” Amateur prognosticators can share their vision of the future in the form of a short video, a photo, or an essay.

A panel of Honda’s robotics professionals will judge the entries, and the winner will receive a special demonstration of Honda’s robotics products—including ASIMO himself—at their school.

Students have until January 3rd to get their entries submitted. According to the official rules, which can be read at http://csr.honda.com/asimo-contest/, students need to upload at least one photo, essay, or video for submission. Photos must be accompanied by a caption that clarifies the picture’s meaning, though captions can be no longer than 144 characters. Essay submissions have a maximum word count of 1,000 words, while video submissions are limited to 60 seconds in length.

Photos, essays, and videos can be uploaded for submission here.

“One of the most important things that Honda can achieve with its robotics program is to inspire young people to dream big, and to think deeply about what is possible,” said Jeffrey Smith, Assistant Vice President North American Corporate Communications Honda North America. “This contest will result in many great ideas and visions for the future and we look forward to seeing what the next generation of innovators will come up with.”
