Holden Launches First-of-Its-Kind Online Store for Commodore Pre-Purchasing

Holden is continuing its effort to forge a more personalized connection with drivers by launching a new website that allows Aussies to pre-purchase their next-generation Commodore. This first-of-its-kind-in-Australia experience will allow shoppers to configure their Commodore, arrange the trade-in of their previous vehicle, set up financing, and select a convenient home delivery date all from the comfort of their home.

“Holden’s always been at the forefront of the Australian industry, this is the latest in a long line of customer-focused initiatives we’re excited and proud to offer Australian drivers,” said Holden Chairman and Managing Director Mark Bernhard. “And what better car to purchase online than the all new, next-generation Commodore— a truly sensational car.”

Holden’s online store pilot will originally be offered for metro Melbourne, and it will also offer drivers the opportunity to order the 2018 Equinox, Astra, and Trax. More markets and vehicles are expected to be made available over time. Holden does not anticipate that an online buying experience will overtake the in-person dealership transaction of old, and dealerships will remain integral as hubs for service and maintenance even in markets where online sales are offered.
