2018 Chevrolet Spark

The Korean minicar market got a jolt of added personality last month with the official launch of the 2018 Chevrolet Spark, which sees updates that include lower prices, tweaked design aesthetics, and holy crap pink exterior.

Let’s dispense with the most glaring component of GM’s release heralding the launch of the 2018 Chevy Spark: it is explicitly stated that the sharp new coral pink exterior color option “has been added for female customers.” Chevrolet, please. It is 2017. We don’t need this silly signifying that all things pink must be for women and that women will only buy things if they are available in pink. If you like pink and you wanna drive a pink car, do it irrespective of your gender and enjoy a decision well made. Get outta here with that “pink is for the ladies” mess.

With that out of the way, a bit more about the 2018 Spark. It’s offered in two styles: The Spark and Spark Eco, each with numerous different trim options. Significant changes to these trims include a price drop for the Spark LT Plus and lower prices and added chrome design elements for the Spark LT and Spark LTZ. The available Convenience Package, which adds a push-button smart key, also sees a reduction in price.

The 2018 Chevy Spark is offered in five trims: LS Basic, LS, LT, LT Plus, and LTZ. Pricing begins at KRW 9.99 million for the LS Basic and tops off at KRW 12.91 million for the LTZ. The 2018 Spark Eco, standard with a C-TECH continuously variable transmission and Stop/Start technology, starts at KRW 12.02 million for the LS Basic and tops out at KRW 15.59 million for the LTZ.
