Honda has recently announced that when the new Accord Hybrid hits the market, it will return an average of 49 miles per gallon in the city and 45 miles per gallon on the highway. This midsize sedan will be the most efficient in its class as the Accord Hybrid’s top competitor, the Toyota Camry Hybrid LE, averages 41 miles per gallon.
The 2014 Accord Hybrid will combine top-class efficiency with luxury features and a stylish body. It will be powered by Honda’s two-motor hybrid powertrain used in the plug-in hybrid version of the Accord. This will be paired with a 2-liter four-cylinder engine. Its lithium-ion battery will help improve efficiency as well.
Honda’s fuel-efficient hybrid will hits dealerships this year. The new Accord brings a spacious, comfortable, powerful and now incredibly fuel-efficient midsize sedan to the automotive world.
