Honda Accord Makes 10Best Cars in America List A Record 29 Times
Car and Driver magazine has chosen the Honda Accord as one of its 2015 10Best Cars in America, marking the 29th time the Accord has been recognized as such in the 31-year history of the award. That is, not surprisingly, a record number of appearances.
“Once again, the Honda Accord is traveling down a road where no vehicle has gone before by winning a 10Best Cars award for an unprecedented 29th time,” said American Honda senior VP Jeff Conrad. “We’re honored to receive this award, which recognizes the exceptional engineering and driving performance that have helped make Accord a perennial top choice of individual American car buyers.”
“The Accord offers terrifically fluid and sporty handling, while functioning perfectly for everyday use,” said Eddie Alterman, Editor-in-Chief of Car and Driver. “It’s light on its feet and very driver-oriented, even if many of its drivers will never explore the full range of its dynamic capabilities. The Accord is an undercover sports sedan, and that’s what resonates with our editors year after year.”
The Honda Accord was joined on Car and Driver’s 2015 10Best Cars in America list by the BMW M235i the Cadillac CTS, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ford Mustang GT, the Mazda3, the Mazda6, the Porsche Boxster/Cayman, the Tesla Model S 60, and the critical darling Volkswagen Golf/GTI.
