Honda is continuing to promote its all-new 2017 CR-V SUV, and today debuted an inspirational social media campaign aimed at the Hispanic demographic. The new campaign will run from March 2nd through the 31st on Honda’s social channels @HondaLatino Twitter and Instagram, as well as Facebook.

Paying off of Honda’s belief in “The Power of Dreams,” the new CR-V Hispanic social media campaign is brought to life through the brand’s partnership with spcaLA, the Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating animal cruelty. The idea behind the campaign is to use the CR-V to bring awareness to pet adoption, via the “CR-V Pet Adoption Drive.”

Honda has also released the first of three episodes highlighting the efforts:

The video features dog lover Carlos PenaVega, who will be reaching out to the pet-loving community throughout the campaign via Honda’s social channels on behalf of dogs in search of a new home. This first video features PenaVega and friends from spcaLA as they share helpful tips related to caring for animals.

“The CR-V has been powered by Honda’s dreams for its customers, helping make it America’s Best-Selling SUV over the past two decades,” said Susie Rossick, Assistant Vice President of Honda Auto Marketing. “Highlighting these inspirational stories will enable viewers to become familiar with the CR-V and spotlight the dogs available for adoption, helping find homes for these deserving animals.”

The Honda “CR-V Pet Adoption Drive” is the latest in the brand’s continued efforts to appeal to Hispanic car customers with animal-friendly imagery, following the CR-V’s “Best Friends” Spanish-language TV spot which debuted on Fox Deportes during the Super Bowl in February. That ad told the emotional story of a young boy and his mother adopting a puppy together and bonding with the animal over time, only to reveal at the end of the commercial that they have been training the dog to be a service animal for a special need child.
