When it comes to winning awards from Car and Driver’s 10Best list, the Honda Accord usually comes to mind first. While the well-known sedan did win again this year in the overall 10Best list, other Honda vehicles also managed to snag some honors too.

Since starting the 10Best list 35 years ago, Car and Driver has expanded its awards to include all-new categories, including the inaugural Trucks and SUVs segment this year. On the list of recently announced winners were the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and 2017 CR-V models. With over 150 nominees in the category, it was exciting to see two Honda vehicles receive spots on the final subcategory list, along with the Accord receiving a spot on the overall list.

In order to be considered for the list, Car and Driver looks at a variety of areas on each model, including technology, safety, ride and handling, fuel efficiency, comfort, and practicality. The 2017 CR-V was praised for its powerful turbo engine that has proven to be more valuable than others because of its class-leading fuel efficiency. On the other hand, the 2017 Ridgeline received a spot on the list due to its handling, comfortable ride, fuel efficiency, and advanced torque vectoring all-wheel drive system.

The Ridgeline has already won other awards this year, including Consumer Guide Automotive’s Best Buy award in the Compact Pickup Truck category. Quite a few Honda vehicles have been snagging awards left and right, thanks to a variety of impressive features. Fuel efficiency, styling, safety, and comfort seem to be some of the top reasons the Japanese automaker is topping tons of list and we’re sure we’ll see more moving into next year.
