KBB.com has released its rankings of the “16 Best Family Cars of 2016,” and Honda is well-represented on the annual list, claiming six of the sixteen available spots. The 2016 Honda Civic, Accord, HR-V, CR-V, Pilot, and Odyssey were all recognized in their respective categories, making Honda the only automaker to earn awards in each segment.

“This recognition by the experts at Kelley Blue Book of six of our core models is affirmation that Honda has the best possible choices for families of any size,” said Honda executive Jeff Conrad.

The new 2016 Honda Civic and Accord were both recognized as being among the six family sedans, while the HR-V and CR-V accounted for two-thirds of the highest-rated 2-row SUVs. Finally, the 2016 Honda Odyssey was one of the three best family minivans, according to editors at KBB.com.

KBB judged the vehicles on several criteria, including comfort, convenience, and safety.

“For two weeks’ time we drove, lived-with, folded-down-seats-of, paired-phones-to and installed-baby-seats-in each and every one of the contenders,” wrote KBB.com editors. “We loaded cargo, contorted ourselves into third rows, watched movies on rear-seat screens, toted rowing teams to marinas–in short we did everything that you and your family might do with a vehicle day-to-day.”

Awards season continues to be kind to Honda, which has racked up several major honors recently, including the coveted 2016 North American Car of the Year trophy for the new tenth-generation Civic. To see the full list of KBB.com’s 2016 “16 Best Family Cars of 2016,” click here.
