The 2018 Honda Odyssey and CR-V are continuing to pile on the awards. This time they were named the “Best Minivan” and the “Best Compact SUV,” respectively, in the U.S. News & World Report “Best Cars for Families” of 2018 awards.

Even more impressive is that this is the eighth consecutive year that the Odyssey wins its category and the fourth that the CR-V tops its own. That probably explains why the CR-V has been one of the best-selling vehicles in the United States and why both have been repeatedly winning awards over the course of the last few months.

“Well-balanced everyday performance vaults the 2018 Honda CR-V toward the top of our rankings. It boasts good safety scores, a high-quality interior, and some of the most spacious passenger and cargo room in its class,” says U.S. News about the compact SUV.

“The Honda Odyssey is fully redesigned for 2018, and it makes a huge splash in the minivan class. Honda’s family hauler boasts a spacious interior, user-friendly technology, and impressive overall performance.”

To determine the top vehicles in each class, U.S. News examined 127 new cars, SUVs, and minivans from the 2018 model year and ranks them based on seating and cargo volume, safety and reliability ratings, family-friendly features, and the overall consensus of the professional automotive industry.

With their recurring appearances in the awards, the Odyssey and CR-V prove once more that Honda is at the top of its game when it comes to making family-friendly vehicles.
