Honda has announced that it will be serving as the exclusive automotive partner of the HGTV Dream Home 2017 Giveaway. The lavish prize package will include a Honda Pilot Elite, along with a spectacular new home on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and a cash prize of $250,000 from mortgage lender Quicken Loans.

Now in its 21st year, HGTV’s popular Dream Home program annually provides one lucky family with a brand new, distinctive American home.

This year’s HGTV Dream Home 2017 television special, which will air on January 1, 2017, will feature the new Honda Pilot. Honda will also produce a 30-second custom vignette which showcases the Pilot and inspires consumers to enter the HGTV Dream Home 2017 Giveaway sweepstakes.

According to Honda, the brief spot will highlight styling similarities of the Honda Pilot and the HGTV Dream Home 2017, with a focus on design, convenience features, and innovative technologies.

“Creating big dreams for our customers is at the core of the Honda brand and combining our Honda Pilot, the ultimate modern family SUV with the ultimate dream home from HGTV, makes for an impactful partnership and one incredible prize package for one lucky family,” said Susie Rossick, Assistant VP of Honda Auto Marketing.

Interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn has restored a hidden gem on the beach town of St. Simons Island, transforming the 1980s-built home into a unique “Southern Transitional” seaside getaway. The main living spaces mix muted, muddy earth tones with bright whites, along with comfortable furniture and formal statement pieces that are intertwined with casual textiles.

Flynn also classed up the joint with some modern art, while the private pool gives the 3,200-square-foot abode a luxury feel.

Though it’s not in quite the same league as the 3,200-square-foot Dream Home, the Honda Pilot does have quite a bit of interior space, with comfortable seating for up to eight passengers and a cargo area that can hold an 82-quart cooler without cutting into the third-row seating capability.
