Honda Provides Scholarships and Internship Opportunities to Hispanic Students
Honda recently honored 16 exceptional Latino undergraduates from around the country for their academic excellence. The students were recognized by Honda North America, Inc. and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) at the annual Scholar Awards Breakfast in Columbus, Ohio.
Each student who enrolls will receive up to a $5,000 scholarship to help pay for tuition, books, and living expenses. All who were selected had maintained at least a 3.0 GPA in high school, and are majoring in chemical, electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering.

“Honda is extremely proud to support the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and this incredible collection of next-generation engineers,” said Marc Burt, the assistant vice president of the Honda Office of Inclusion and Diversity. “Honda is a company built on innovation and we believe that by supporting these students in their pursuit of higher-level education, the sky is the limit in terms of what they can accomplish.”
Honda Scholars who are interested in a future in the auto industry will also get a chance to participate in the Japanese brand’s summer immersion internship program, where they’ll receive an in-depth experience in the automobile manufacturing environment. After the scholars award program in Columbus, students traveled to nearby Marysville, Ohio, to tour the Honda Heritage Center Museum and receive an inside look at Honda’s R&D operations.
