Honda Roadside Assistance will be standard on all 2015 Honda vehicles, including the Fit (whenever we actually get them)

Starting with the all-new 2015 Honda Pilot, which is on sale now, and the 2015 Honda Fit, which we think will be arriving sometime in our life time, all new Honda vehicles will benefit from a 24-hour roadside assistance program. Honda Roadside Assistance will come standard on everything from the Accord to the CR-V and should serve to ease the minds of new car buyers with a lingering fear of being stranded on the side of the road somewhere outside of a remote town populated by cannibals.

Both models add 24-hour roadside assistance as a new wrinkle to Honda’s usual three-year/36,000-mile new-vehicle limited warranty. The program will include lockout service, fuel delivery, and towing, and will also assist those in particularly dire straits with booking alternative transportation and—if necessary—hotel accommodations. In the event that your new Honda requires three days’ work, Honda will offer reimbursement consideration for up to $300 in expenses.

Honda 24-hour roadside assistance will also extend to:

  • Changing a flat tire using the vehicle’s available spare
  • Assistance with the Tire Repair Kit
  • Jumping the battery
  • Winching the vehicle
  • Transporting the vehicle to the nearest Honda dealer

As part of the Honda Roadside Assistance service, drivers can call the program’s toll-free telephone number (866-864-5211) 24 hours a day, seven days a week from anywhere in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada.
